BellvilleThe Ford Motor Company is particularly proud of their Fusion car model. It has had significant success since joining the American market over six years ago. The 2013 version of the Ford Fusion is redesigned and will soon be available at local Missouri new Ford dealers. It has received a new look as well as some new features and capabilities and will be sparring with the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord for the top spot in the segment.

The Ford Fusion was the first sedan model to be available in a gasoline, a gasoline- electric hybrid, and a plug- in hybrid model. Not only does it already have more to offer than competitor sedans and hybrid sedans, but it also offers more space than most competitors.

The newest version of the Ford Fusion will be hitting local Ford dealers as soon as the second half of this year in the United States. In the European market it will be known as the Mondeo. Last year alone, the sales of the Ford Fusion rose 13 percent, reaching 248, 067. This marked the third straight year for gains in the double digits. The top competitor models for the new 2013 Ford Fusion will include the Chevrolet Malibu, the Honda Accord, the Mazda6, the Nissan Altima, and the Toyota Camry. Each of these mentioned models is being redesigned this year aside from the Toyota Camry.

“To me it looks expensive,” says David Sullivan, analyst for AutoPacific Inc. “It’s for people who don’t want the vanilla-flavored Camry. Fusion is not going to appeal to some people. I think Ford is OK with that.”

The new Ford Fusion will come in two different hybrid powertrains; a gasoline- electric hybrid and a plug- in hybrid model. The Ford Fusion Hybrid will earn a fuel economy average of 47 miles per gallon during city travel and 44 miles per gallon during highway travel.
